There are many generations that have passed us. There are the Baby Boomers the generation of our parents; Generation X, the generation of our older siblings. And now there is the Google Generation, the generation of today’s youth and it refers to the people who are born during the introduction of internet and communication technology or a generation whose first port of call for knowledge is the internet and a search engine. There is a question that the people from the previous generations like to ask our generation: Are we dependent to the internet and communication technology for communicating and researching?
For me that there are just certain people who are just so dependent to this. Like students who are
so lazy to search in a encyclopedia that they are just contented on what they found on the internet,
sometimes it does not give complete answers or it gives wrong answers and the teacher might incorrect it because he or she wants the answers to be found on a encyclopedia book. On the communication part people who use email, chat, or text messaging for courting the one they love, its informal because the person who’s courting might made that up. Another one is people who use websites (like chat rooms) to fight or offend people.
We can still use the internet or communication technology but we must know when to use it and
not to use it. And also its limitations(like rules and regulations).
